Speaking on Tuesday’s episode of The Breakfast Club, the Wests discussed their first family Thanksgiving together. “[Kim] was so appreciative of having you with us and I think she’s seen how you’ve changed over the years and how much it has meant to you,” DJ Envy said.
“I think she feels like she is witnessing what I’ve done in my life over these past eight years,” Kanye told the show’s hosts. “I think she thinks she’s really witnessing who I am with this amazing family that I’ve created. She’s taken it upon herself to try to get me to fulfill a role and I’m really working at it and there are a lot of reasons, it might not be what you want it to be.”
“There are other reasons that go into why you do things and a lot of people might not understand that I have emotions, and when you have a family like this you gotta realize that there are feelings involved,” he added. “And those feelings, you got to go through. You gotta go through healing and becoming whole. That’s all that we go through. I think that’s what her outpouring was, ‘I love you, I just want you to be happy, and you gotta be whole.’”
