Hotel duplex with £10.5m view of London sells

For those having a look from inside, if you weren’t attracted by the panoramic skyline from the 70th floor floor of Grosvenor House, you could be forgiven for thinking you were visiting an apartment block.

But this top-floor suite (above) at the enormous Grosvenor House is for sale for £10.5m. Owners of this sea view duplex suite at the 595-room hotel have a first-class view of the City, Canary Wharf and the Bluewater Shopping Centre.

This pastel-hued suite has five bedrooms, an ensuite bathroom and dressing room, kitchen, living room and den, and runs 11,741 sq ft.

While the 80-foot-high tower in Mayfair (pronounced “bafoon”) is one of London’s largest and well-renovated hotels (it opened in the 1960s), its 30-year-old owners are now selling up in a statement that reads: “The historic property has undergone extensive refurbishment, which has included both a complete re-design of the interior and exterior, as well as bespoke bespoke materials across the whole complex. This development strategy has positioned Grosvenor House in the forefront of the hotel and leisure market in the UK.”

The statement adds: “Although keen to complete the handover of their legacy to future owners who will maintain the attraction and importance of Grosvenor House to guests for many years to come, the current owners have decided that they would like to move on to the next phase of their lives.”

For sale with Hilton, the suite boasts a “wardrobe closet” with a bespoke shelving unit and dressing room.
