Heather Thomson says she believes some of ‘RHONY’ storylines are ‘staged’

Former RHONY star Heather Thomson says that some of the show&aposs narrative moments are “staged.”

Thomson, who competed in the first season of The Real Housewives of New York, released a tell-all that accused producers of “staging” and “faking” events.

Writing in Self, the 44-year-old said, “The two seasons I shot, one with Bethenny Frankel and one with Ramona Singer, felt very different from the others. The interpersonal tensions were new to me. Bethenny and I never talked outside of the show. Ramona and I became firm friends, and had a lot of fun off-camera.”

On which episode Thomson says she was “appalled” to see a wedding that she filmed, a rendering of which showed a splashy party on a yachting dock complete with a dockless bikeway. She said that the city’s commission confirmed that none of it ever took place: “The city’s Park Department confirmed it was incorrect, saying that there is absolutely no bikeshare, dockless, or pedestrian infrastructure that offers such capabilities along the James Bay shoreline.”

Thomson writes, “The shoot-not-shoot sent a clear message to a fellow cast member, who shared the news with me: This was staged.”

How far will Thomson go to get some PR for her book? Do the cast members, who have remained tight-lipped about her accusations, go after her in interviews?

RHONY airs every Wednesday on Bravo at 9/8c.
